Over at FIRE Finance, the 101st Edition of the Carnival of Personal Finance is underway. For those of you who are new to the Blogosphere, a carnival is essentially an online magazine focused around a specific topic or concept–in this case, personal finance. Every carnival has a title, a topic, editors, contributors, and an audience.

Editions of the carnival typically come out on a regular basis, and the carnival’s editor (or host) is responsible for assembling and linking the host page to all of the contributors that have submitted articles. The editor also provides witty remarks to tie the various articles together and to entertain the carnival readers.
